A Conscious Life
Hello and welcome!
Learn to be curious, and listen to understand. As an LLP psychologist I work and encourage my patients to understand and reduce defensiveness, grow in compassion and deepen emotional intimacy with others as well as resolving symptoms of depression, anxiety, people pleasing and lack of confidence.
Much of depression, anxiety and discontent with self and others stems from unresolved childhood issues, problems with early attachment and difficult life circumstances. These can be safely shared with an experienced, trusted therapist for better understanding and mutually developed roadmaps to change. From better understanding, an ability to make conscious and intentional change arises, providing relief and a better ability to experience joy and what you define as personal success and fulfillment.
I specialize in adult psychotherapy, family and couples work that encourage healthy emotional attachment and intimacy, attuned, positive communication and closeness and I also work with families in collaborative divorce and co-parenting post-divorce, blended family issues, adolescent and teen therapy and all LGBTQA issues.
I've been in practice for 16 years and received my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in 2010, and have studied and independently researched Psychoanalytic Theory and Practice for 18 years. I hold a Limited License in Psychology, and practice Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Attachment Therapy (similar to Dr. Orna Gurulnik in the Showtime program Couples Therapy.) Our work and treatment plan will be uniquely curated with each patient to best achieve mutually developed goals for treatment.
